Conformance status

This website (safeinri.com) partially conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conforms" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard. Known gaps are listed below under Known Limitations. We are actively working to address them prior to the fall 2026 launch of the SAFEin tool.

For schools and districts with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (29 U.S.C. § 794d) procurement requirements, we are working toward Section 508 conformance for the SAFEin tool. An Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) based on the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) is available upon request for district procurement processes.

Our commitment

Brightside Behavioral Health is committed to ensuring that safeinri.com and the SAFEin tool are usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies. We build with accessibility in mind and appreciate feedback from users who encounter barriers.

What we do

Our accessibility efforts include:

• Semantic HTML structure for screen reader compatibility
• Sufficient color contrast ratios across all text and interactive elements
• Keyboard-navigable interface without requiring a mouse
• Descriptive alt text for meaningful images
• Legible font sizes with sufficient line height and spacing
• Clear focus indicators for interactive elements
• Responsive design that works across screen sizes and zoom levels up to 200%

Known limitations

We are aware of the following gaps and are actively working to address them:

• Some decorative graphic elements on the homepage may not yet have fully optimized ARIA labels.
• The SAFEin web application is in active development. Full accessibility testing, including screen reader and keyboard navigation review, will be completed prior to its fall 2026 launch.
• The school interest form is powered by Tally, a third-party provider. We have evaluated Tally's accessibility features and find them broadly functional, but users who cannot access the embedded form may contact us directly by email or phone using the information below — we will ensure you can submit your interest through an accessible alternative.

How to report an issue or request an accommodation

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site or within SAFEin, please describe the issue and the page or feature where you encountered it. We aim to respond within two business days. If you require an alternative format or accommodation to access any content or service, please let us know and we will make reasonable efforts to provide one.
