Conditions for using this website and the SAFEin educator toolkit.
Last updated: May 27, 2026
By accessing safeinri.com or using the SAFEin tool, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use this site or its tools. These terms apply to all visitors, educators, school administrators, and any other users. These Terms of Use incorporate our Privacy Policy by reference.
SAFEin is designed and intended exclusively for use by adults working in school settings — teachers, counselors, administrators, and other staff. It is not for use by students or minors under any circumstances. Schools participating in the SAFE Initiative are responsible for ensuring SAFEin is accessible only to authorized staff.
Schools and districts that participate in the SAFE Initiative do so under a separate participation agreement. That agreement governs the relationship between Brightside Behavioral Health and the participating institution. These Terms of Use apply to individual users of this website and the SAFEin tool.
SAFEin provides AI-generated guidance based on clinician-approved content. It is a support tool for trained adults in educational settings. It is explicitly:
Educators using SAFEin agree to:
Access to SAFEin is granted to authorized school staff through credentials issued by Brightside Behavioral Health. Brightside Behavioral Health reserves the right to suspend or terminate access at any time, with or without notice, if a user violates these Terms, misuses the tool, or if the participating school's agreement with Brightside Behavioral Health ends. Users whose access is terminated must cease using SAFEin immediately.
All content on this website, including text, design, clinical frameworks, and the SAFEin tool interface, is owned by or licensed to Brightside Behavioral Health LLC and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may share links to this site freely. You may not reproduce, republish, or distribute content from this site without written permission from Brightside Behavioral Health.
Brightside Behavioral Health provides SAFEin as a support resource in good faith, grounded in clinical expertise. We are not liable for decisions made by educators or administrators in response to AI-generated guidance. All guidance is advisory. Educators remain responsible for their own professional judgment and obligations under applicable law.
The SAFE Initiative and SAFEin are provided "as is" during the pilot phase, which runs through the 2026–2027 school year. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of the tool for any particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Brightside Behavioral Health's total liability to any user for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by that user for access to SAFEin in the twelve months preceding the claim. Because SAFEin is provided at no cost during the pilot, this amount is zero. In no event shall Brightside Behavioral Health be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain damages; in such jurisdictions, liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Brightside Behavioral Health LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or damages (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of this site or SAFEin, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or the rights of a third party.
Brightside Behavioral Health is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, power failures, third-party service outages, or government actions.
We may update these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the site or SAFEin after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected in the updated date at the top of this page.
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Rhode Island, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Providence County, Rhode Island, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any applicable participation agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Brightside Behavioral Health regarding your use of this site and SAFEin, and supersede all prior communications on the subject.
